In the review of Episode 1 , I provided the materialistic background to Neil de Grasse Tyson’s reboot of Cosmos , probably even more materialistic than the 1980 series by Tyson’s mentor, Carl Sagan.

Right at the start, Tyson poses the question about where the variety of living creatures came from, and he makes it clear that the answer is goo-to-you evolution: “The answer is a transforming power that sounds like something out of a fairy tale or myth.” I would argue that it sounds that way because that’s exactly what it is, but Tyson disagrees.

However, to ‘prove’ his point, Tyson must resort to the evolutionists’ old faithful fallacy of equivocation or bait and switch. Basically, the fallacy in the argument of so many Apostles of Atheopathy, including Tyson and Dawkins , can be boiled down to the following argument:

I m sorry, my friend, but that is the least of evidence against evolution. This only contradicts small details, not the general aspects that define the theory. However, there is much evidence that does defy the entire theory. For example: 1. Abiogenesis is a mathematical absurdity. It is the least likely thing for us to believe in. 2. The fossil records contains no undisputed transitional forms. Many honest evolutionists admit that the fossil records contradicts evolution in many ways, with missing links being the least of the problems. 3. Evolution contradicts the principle of biogenesis. Biogenesis was considered valid in the scientific community for a long time because it agreed with observations. When evolution became mainstream without being proven, biogenesis was scrapped without being disproven. 4. Science is based on observations and experiment. In reality, there has never been a proven instance of complexity arising from chaos without external complex assistance. Anyway, if you want to fight the worst scientific theory on earth, use the real evidence.

Evolution is change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. [1] [2] Evolutionary processes give rise to biodiversity at every level of biological organisation , including the levels of species , individual organisms , and molecules. [3]

All life on Earth shares a common ancestor known as the last universal common ancestor (LUCA), [4] [5] [6] which lived approximately 3.5–3.8 billion years ago, [7] although a study in 2015 found "remains of biotic life " from 4.1 billion years ago in ancient rocks in Western Australia. [8] [9] In July 2016, scientists reported identifying a set of 355 genes from the LUCA of all organisms living on Earth. [10]

The proposal that one type of organism could descend from another type goes back to some of the first pre-Socratic Greek philosophers, such as Anaximander and Empedocles. [36] Such proposals survived into Roman times. The poet and philosopher Lucretius followed Empedocles in his masterwork De rerum natura ( On the Nature of Things ). [37] [38]

The Culture Cult by Roger Sandall; At its deepest level The Culture Cult is a study of moral psychology— the moral attitudes of western intellectuals dreaming about the tribal world. These are people dependent for their wellbeing on the highest levels of modern science and technology—how they should come to think like this seems a mystery..
